Since the beginning of this year, the focus topic of China's textile market has almost focused on cotton. The drastic fluctuation of cotton price affects the nerves of all spinning, weaving and textile machinery enterprises. So, what is the direct relationship between cotton problem and textile machinery enterprises? In today's cotton resource shortage and rising prices, what can textile machinery enterprises do? A few days ago, the reporter interviewed Feng Siqi, President of Rieter China, a famous equipment manufacturer in the global spinning field.

Reporter: since the beginning of this year, the drastic fluctuation of cotton price not only directly affects the production and operation of downstream textile enterprises, but also changes the orders of upstream textile enterprises. As a textile equipment manufacturer, how do you view the supply and demand of cotton and what suggestions do you have?

Windski: the cost of raw materials accounts for a large proportion of the whole yarn cost. Therefore, in such a high price of cotton today, how to improve the utilization rate of raw materials is particularly important. In fact, now more and more customers in the choice of equipment has been able to effectively improve the utilization of raw materials as an important reference index. It is undeniable that many equipment manufacturing enterprises are still more concerned about how to improve the production capacity of equipment, blindly pursuing to improve the production speed, but ignoring how to use raw materials efficiently. In my opinion, this issue must be highly valued by equipment manufacturers. In this regard, Lida Company can be said to be ahead. All along, we are trying to find out how to use raw materials more efficiently under the premise of high speed. For example, on the premise of ensuring excellent yarn quality, the production speed of Rieter e66 comber can reach 500 plies / min, the maximum output can reach 72 kg / h, and the noil rate can be reduced by 1% ~ 2%. Therefore, customers benefit not only from high-efficiency, high-yield and high-quality yarn, but also from the maximization of raw cotton utilization.

Reporter: since the beginning of this year, China's textile industry has once again shown an alarming trend of rapid development, and at the same time, it has effectively stimulated the demand for textile machinery and equipment. Not only the sales revenue of the whole textile machinery industry has reached a record high, but also China's textile machinery imports have reached US $3.074 billion in the first three quarters alone. How long do you think this trend will last?

Feng Siqi: I think the prosperity of the textile machinery industry this year is more of a kind of restorative growth, with the characteristics of cyclical fluctuations. But on the whole, China's overall economy is still in the period of expansion, and there is still a lot of room for domestic demand to improve. Therefore, in the long run, China's textile machinery industry will still maintain a positive growth trend, but there may be a slowdown next year. From this year's market sales situation, take the cotton textile industry as an example, a considerable part of the new projects are complete sets of equipment. I believe that for some time in the future, with the continuous development of the Chinese market and enterprises paying more attention to the whole process, the sales of complete sets of cotton spinning equipment will continue to grow. And the whole process is very consistent with the idea of "textile system supplier" that Lida has been adhering to, which also makes us more confident in the Chinese market.

Reporter: under the premise that the prices of raw materials, energy and labor are rising day by day and the RMB exchange rate is expected to appreciate, an obvious trend in the domestic textile machinery market is that the purchase of high-end equipment by textile enterprises is greatly increased, and products with high efficiency, energy saving and less labor will be the mainstream of market demand in the future, which undoubtedly provides a huge market for companies like Lida Space. So, how does Lida Company adapt to this market demand in product development?

Feng Siqi: in recent years, we have obviously felt that Chinese enterprises pursuing profit maximization have more and more demand for high-end equipment. The G35 and K45 spinning frames developed for these customers have the longest body, the highest speed and the most advanced and reliable automatic doffing system, which makes our customers once again stand at the forefront of ring spinning and compact spinning. At the same time, the R40 automatic rotor spinning machine developed by Rieter company is also very suitable for the needs of these enterprises. The length of the machine can reach 500 spindles, and the speed of the rotor can reach 160000 rpm. It has convenient process setting, humanized operation mode, and expert system with huge data, which can effectively reduce the dependence of customers on skilled workers. In addition, in recent years, Chinese textile enterprises have gradually begun to pay attention to the management system of information chemical plants. Reporter: in 1998, Lida established its first textile machine manufacturing factory in Changzhou. Today, 12 years later, Lida will build a new factory in Changzhou. Does this mean that Rieter's future strategic development will rely more on the Chinese market?

Windski: with the rapid development of China's textile industry, the pace of Rieter in China has never slowed down. After settling down in Changzhou in 1998, Lida (Changzhou) company expanded its plant in 2006. Only four years later, the current production scale is far from meeting the needs of customers. As a matter of fact, as early as 2008, we have completed the plan for a new factory. However, due to the impact of the global financial crisis, the implementation of this plan was delayed until this year. In the future new factories, we will not only bring more textile products from Europe, but also increase training centers, spinning centers and spare parts warehouses, so as to provide better services for Chinese customers.

In the overall development strategy of Rieter, China really occupies a very important position, not only because China is the world's largest cotton textile base, but also because Changzhou factory is an important part of Rieter's global supply chain. In addition to providing the latest technology for Chinese customers, it also shoulders the mission of providing spare parts, spare parts and even complete machines for overseas markets .

Reporter: in recent years, the level of China's textile machinery manufacturing industry is also gradually improving, especially the cotton spinning equipment has a strong competitive advantage. For Lida, how to win in the competition with local enterprises?

Feng Siqi: Yes, in recent years, China's textile machinery manufacturing industry has developed very rapidly and made remarkable achievements in many fields. But Lida always insists on conquering Chinese enterprises with the best equipment and the most advanced technology. It is undeniable that the price has always been an important factor for many textile enterprises who like Lida equipment to flinch. In fact, with the drawing frame, combing machine and other equipment have been localized in China, the price of Rieter equipment has declined.
